Is it me, or does anyone else feel like they’re going to hell if you throw out old pictures.  In an attempt to make more room for “junk” in the kitchen I went through one of the plastic drawer thingies that I had stuffed with pictures.  Getting rid of doubles is an easy choice but what about pictures of people you don’t even remember?  What about a picture of Bobby Rodgers? a picture of Bobby rolling a joint(?) How about Jean and Larry in a towel coming out of the bathroom?  Do I need that one? My brother Scott and several old girlfriends?  But Scott is in them and/or one of the kids.  Keep or pitch?  Then there’s the ones you absolutely have to keep like Kerry and Tommy Noland in Colorado from 1981.  Kerry and Richard and some little league game.  I have one of Dennis, Jimmy Persuit, Howard, my brother and my dad.  Priceless.  I will admit I kept a Christmas card from Michael Burns (Burnsy) from 1976.  What is wrong with me?  But I pitched a few, put them in boxes, marked the boxes and in the closet.  I made room for junk in the kitchen although unfortunately barely made a dent.  I had planned to put recipes in one drawer, junk/tools in another, and vitamins (yes we have many) in another.  So what did I actually get in there?  junk in the top drawer, tape, glue, string in the second drawer, tools in the bottom drawer.  Seriously us humans have way way too much stuff. Phil has more tools than my grandad did.  Maybe someday he’ll build us a house, or a boat, or a shed.

Yesterday, we did not make the beach.  Zenah ended up going back to Leslie’s.  I admit I cried.  I don’t know why.   After I collected myself we had a lovely drive back..long but no traffic.  But we did run into this ridiculous rain storm and all the sudden I could see NOTHING.  Thankfully we were minutes away from Leslie’s. Zenah will be back here next week. Jorden went with me and we chatted as well. Remember those captured times with your kids?  You learn alot in the car from those kids so I appreciate the one on one time.

And NOW we’re going to the beach (Jorden and I), we are going to Honeymoon Island again and see what we can discover.  I think there might be boating classes over there.  In my pretend head (the one where I don’t have to work)  I’d like to take kayaking lessons with Jorden and horseback riding with Zenah; although it’s REALLY hot here – did you know that?  Florida is hot so I’m guessing horseback riding is not a summer time sport here.  Maybe we’ll just stick to water sports for the summer.  I was on that Meetup site last night looking for some sailing clubs.  I think I need a more structured place to learn to sail though.  The meetups seem to be for people that already know what they’re doing.  So another “job” for me. Find boating classes.

No word from McKinsey, but I have enough $$ for gas and the beach, and maybe even a boogie board so today is a good day.  attached some of those priceless pictures.

xoxoxo

OK so the first comment didn’t show up so here it goes again. Save the pictures. A lot of great memories. My brother just took all photo albums that were my mom’s and he is scanning them to be put on a DVD or Flash drive for all of us. A little time consuming…but…did someone say they didn’t have a job…lol. You can work on them at the pool with a drink on the table! More compact than an album and/or shoe box!
