Lyming is the Caribbean art of doing nothing—without feeling guilty about it. (copied from Bottom Line’s 5-minute Cures & Overnight Miracles!) According to the pamphlet, Lyming gives your brain time to process all the information it receives over the course of a day. Therefore, you should take a 5 minute mental vacation every few hours. I’m going to try Lyming. All day….
So far I tried to sit by the pool and lyme. Got bit by a mosquito. Brushed the dog. Took something out for dinner. Thought about what to write on my update and wondered how long I should Lyme before I try to finish my book. I’m happy to say this is a NEW book and not Owen Meany. I finally finished that last week. Phew…
According to the web Lyming is a 5 minute break to absorb and escape. Maybe I Lyme too much? Maybe I need to do more unlyming. Every now and then I’ll work for 5 minutes and Lyme the rest of the time? Maybe I’ll become a professional Lymer? Wonder if there’s any income in that?
Below are pictures from my day so far…
The biggest Lymer of them all
So with all this absorbing I’ve decided to declare Thursday as Lyming day, and not feel guilty about it.
which is good because the dreaded bathroom cleaning Friday is right around the corner. I would clean today but today is Lyming day. I can’t veer from my schedule.
