Date night was fun. We went downtown and walked around briefly. I “thought” there was a free event at the museum but it was by invitation only but still it was cool to see Tampa’s downtown and their waterfront park.

Here’s some pictures.  I apologize in advance for the quality of the pictures.

This is University of Tampa. Not sure what the Spires represent but sure is pretty

Full moon – can you see the PNC building? They’re everywhere!

I’ll have to compare to our PPG ice rink. Bet it’s warmer.

And then we went to Ybor City. Ybor City was founded in the 1880s by cigar manufacturers and was populated by thousands of immigrants, mainly from Spain, Cuba, and Italy. I didn’t get many pictures. Sort of reminds me of what New Orleans might look like (not ever having been there) and a little like the Southside. It was a little shady in parts. I think we need to go back during the day. One highlight was seeing this long line of people waiting to get into some nightclub. The outfits were unbelievable. One woman we passed had a long dress, side slits up to her waist, no underwear. Why? Anyway, it was a nice night.

No weekend plans again. I like the no plans weekend cause you never know what might happen. Well other than the soccer/lacrosse commitments which take up our Saturday morning/afternoon. Maybe we’ll plant our seeds in the garden.

But right now I’m going to meet my man for lunch. I get to see the water too. Love them both!!
