I had a lovely visit. Got to see many friends. Played with babies. Saw my boys. I had a lot of fun with the boys this time. Not that I don’t always but for some reason this visit was a lot of boy bonding. We even played tennis together. Maybe we’re on to something. Here we come Uncle Scott (he has a tennis court). I went to the farmers market, yoga, luau, lunch with Zach, dinner with friends, family fun day, played with babies, checked on the progress of the new house, went to the mall (I know, not a usual visit but it had to be done)…
I came home to flowers and a small dent in the car. It’s very minimal but major consequences for our little felon Zenah driving without a license driver. They handcuffed her even. Seems a little excessive doesn’t it? I’m hoping they were trying to do one of those scared straight things. Hopefully it worked. Unfortunately she told me she won’t be able to get her license now until she’s 18. So another year and half. Guess who’s NOT carting her ass around?
I remember when Zachary drove the Volvo into the back of the garage. He was devastated and rambling on about something so totally not about the car when I finally looked at his girlfriend and asked what was really going on here. Then when I found out it was the car I think I laughed. Because that’s not at all what I thought it was going to be. Again, minimal damage. Like almost nothing.
So anyway, I guess I can NEVER leave Florida again, all hell breaks loose. JK. Stuff happens, especially when there are teenagers involved. Always an adventure right?
In other news, my card playing hospice patient died this morning. This morning! I mean we just played cards last week. I think she was out shopping maybe yesterday. I’m sad. I thought we had at least a couple more weeks. Apparently it’s not about me. I visited with my other hospice person this morning. Told her I got a job and that I’d be stopping by after work now. She worked until she was 77. I hope I don’t have to go that long, but she sure understands work.
It’s a yoga day. Last “day” for this for a while. I have to find a night-time class. I’m sure I’ll find people who I work with who know where to go after work. I’m starting to look forward to it. I think I’m ready for something different.
And of course because I want to leave the house it’s pouring down rain all the sudden.
Pouring in the way that you don’t leave the house because you’ll be drenched before you even get to the car, let alone out of the car into the YMCA. I’ll have to find that evening yoga class sooner than later.
Guess I’ll go shopping…
