I have my heater on.  I know cray-cray.  But I’m cold. What can I say. It’s 84° but not sunny.

A great update today after my updates of doom last week.  First the car issues so far seem to be nothing.  The mechanics don’t know why the check engine light came on so they turned it off and the car is operating beautifully.  Obviously they checked it thoroughly first, then gave it a clean bill of health.

AND my friends came.  I have friends. WOO HOO.  First they came to my house, got to meet Sam, Tashah and Phil (in that order) so that was nice and they liked what I cooked! (Quiche, an orange and avocado salad and blueberry lemon bread).  Very fun and delicious. Phil, the good boyfriend, took my car to the mechanic while I was entertaining, he came home with the good news and car filled with gas, said hello to the girls and off we went.  At the beach by 1:00.

The girls loved The Cottage at Inn at Siesta Key and that set the tone for the rest of the weekend which was just lovely. Good friends, good talks, good food, lots of sleep, a good book, a lot of steps (37,500) a nice sunset (or 2)..just a little slice of heaven.  And the best barometer of all is that we booked it again for next year adding one more day!  Here’s some pics:

Girls at the house!

Breakfast on Mary’s Meadow Lane (my house). They had been up since 3 am but managed to stay awake all day

Believe it or not I was the only one without the fresh pedicure. I could still hang but now I really need one.

Next year I’m bringing the selfie stick although we managed to get our heads in this pic.

Girls waiting for sunset

The sunset – one of many. It happens every night!

Snacks by the pool

Great beach book – got it soaked the first day

Added this dollar bill to the thousands on the wall at the restaurant SKOB (Siesta Key Oyster Bar) – see if you can find it when visiting.

Now back to my life.  NOW I will see what unfolds.  NOW I have no more trips planned.  NOW the unemployment might start sinking in. NOW I have to let things come to me.  That’s a thing you know.  Letting things come to you. See it’s even on my tea bag.

While I’m waiting for things to pop, I will continue with my chores, laundry, dog hair, dishes and other household duties. And then for personal growth I should be doing my morning journaling, meditating, practicing Reiki daily and exercising.  Work is much easier than self-development for sure.
